Our children's futures are at stake in the 2023 School Board elections. On November 7, voters will choose new board members for South Washington County School District (ISD 833) and Stillwater Area School District (ISD 834) and decide on crucial bond referendums for ISD 833 and ISD 834. These critical choices deserve our attention. Stay informed and get involved by visiting our online voter guide.

Local school board elections often fly under the radar but impact our children, schools, and community for years to come.
Let's ensure voices from across the community are heard. Visit 2023 ISD 833/834 Election (woodbury4je.com) to make your vote count for our kids.
At the August 9, 2023 Woodbury City Council meeting, Walter spoke on behalf of Woodbury for Justice and Equality regarding a sitting council member's recent comments on racism. Mayor Burt and Council Member Wilson both responded to his message.
On Tuesday, August 8, Woodbury for Justice and Equality sponsored the Skoolie Bus at Newport Elementary. We brought dinner and dinnerware, including sub sandwiches, drinks, chips, and cookies. The kids were entertained with various activities, including yard games and temporary tattoos. We served around 60 dinners and enjoyed playing and visiting with the families that attended. It was a lovely summer night to connect with and support a community served by South Washington County Schools!
The Summer Skoolie program partners with SoWashCo CARES, Community Education, and our larger community. “Skoolie” is the name of the colorfully painted school bus that goes out into the community with sponsors like Woodbury for Equality and Justice to create community-building events like this one for people to connect.

Our Mission is to learn about systemic inequalities and racial injustices in our community in order to seek solutions to change the status quo. Our Vision is to have a Woodbury where everyone has an equal opportunity and feels welcomed.
This group was created first on Nextdoor for our neighbors in Woodbury to learn more about social injustice from the people who are experiencing it and most importantly to join the fight to change the status quo. This is only possible if we stand in solidarity to promote equality. We can start change in our own backyard and this will go a long way in changing the world.
While we do have a group of over 500 members online, a core leadership group as organized and meets monthly to plan our next projects. Walter Dobgima is the President and founder of the group. Please contact us if you would be interested in being part of the core team.
